Korean company Shift Up has finally revealed an extended and detailed look at the gameplay of Stellar Blade, a title that seems clearly inspired by NieR: Automata from Square Enix and PlatinumGames.
Scheduled for April 26, 2024 for PS5, Stellar Blade was one of the best moments of the most recent State of Play and director Hyung Tae Kim revealed news about his project on the official PlayStation blog, shortly after the broadcast.
Stellar Blade puts you in the role of Eve, part of the Airborne Squad that descends to the surface of the Earth to destroy the creatures known as Naytibas, which attack humans and are commanded by a superior entity. Eve will have the help of Adam and Lily, but she will also meet other characters on her missions around Earth, especially in Xion, the last city on the planet.
To further reinforce the similarities with NieR: Automata, the director of Stellar Blade explained that the experience is designed as a semi-open world, which will allow you to explore places such as a Great Desert and desolate landscapes.
One of the examples of the missions that Eve will have to carry out was the search for Hyper Cells, an energy source that helps to power Xion. Through actions like this, Eve will help Xion regain her glory.
