Confirming the rumors, Kojima Productions and Sony have revealed a new cinematic trailer for Death Stranding 2. Additionally, the video confirms the official title as Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
Death Stranding 2 was announced in December 2022 at The Game Awards 2023 with a short trailer.
The nearly 10-minute video shows that Sam will embark on a new adventure to save humanity from extinction, while facing supernatural enemies and a disturbing question about human nature.
During the trailer, the player will see familiar faces from the first adventure, new characters and unexpected events, as well as the peculiarities of director Hideo Kojima. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is scheduled to be released in 2025.
Sony published Death Stranding for the PlayStation 4 in November 2019, while 505 released it for PC in July of the following year. In 2021, Death Stranding Director’s Cut arrived on PS5 and PC.
According to data from Kojima Productions, Death Stranding was played by 16 million people across all platforms, including subscription services such as PlayStation Plus and PC Game Pass.
Last month, the company announced a partnership with studio A24 to produce a live-action Death Stranding film for theaters. So far, there is no forecast for the film’s release.

The full title of the Death Stranding sequel may have been leaked. According to informant billbil-kun, known for bringing exclusive information in advance, the new game will be titled Death Stranding 2 – On The Beach.
Furthermore, the tipster says that players won’t have to wait long for official confirmation, as new details should be released soon.
The informant does not give an exact date for the announcement to take place, but mentions that the revelation will take place in the next 15 days. It is also speculated that this will occur in the next State of Play, which has not yet been confirmed by PlayStation
