Design prototype units for the Galaxy S24 line began to appear all over the internet this Tuesday (14), revealing in advance the possible final design of the trio of Samsung flagships for next year with visual changes to all devices.
The images were disseminated without citing sources by several informant profiles on X (formerly Twitter), so it is important to keep in mind that it is nothing official. Even so, the leakers responsible for sharing the photos have an extensive favorable history in leaks, which gives greater weight to the veracity of the images.
The future Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus maintain the current generation design with triple rear camera, discreet Samsung logo and polished sides that can also receive a titanium finish in at least one color option.
One of the photos shows a film with a wide notch at the top of the display. It is very likely that the protection was added just to avoid scratching the prototype’s screen, since Samsung must maintain the single hole-shaped notch at the top of the display.

Other photos also show the trio side by side, further clarifying the design news, with the Galaxy S24 Ultra maintaining the straight-sided look for this year.
The prototype mistakenly includes a non-functional camera instead of a laser focus sensor in the S24 Ultra’s top right module, as we have on the Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Still, this may be the most accurate leak regarding the final design of Samsung’s new smartphones for next year.

Galaxy S24: what to expect?
The Galaxy S24 is expected to have a 6.2-inch 2X AMOLED screen with Full HD resolution, variable refresh rate between 1 Hz and 120 Hz and up to 2,500 nits of maximum brightness.
The Galaxy S24 Plus may debut with a 6.7-inch screen with Quad HD (2K) resolution and the same 2X AMOLED technologies with LTPO panel and high brightness as the common model.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 Ultra would have a 6.8-inch panel and the same resolution, technologies and brightness as the S24 Plus.

Samsung may resume the strategy of using two chips for the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus. Units with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 would be destined for selected countries, while models with Exynos 2400 will be sold in more regions, such as Brazil — the Galaxy S24 Ultra would come exclusively with a Qualcomm chip worldwide.
Leaks reveal that the S24 Ultra will have a set of cameras with controversial changes, swapping the zoom cameras for shorter-range lenses. The brand would have chosen to replace the 10x periscopic telephoto with 10 MP for a 5x with 50 MP, while the 5x zoom lens with 10 MP would give way to a 10 MP sensor with 3x optical zoom. The maximum zoom of 100x would still be possible, using Artificial Intelligence and the new 200 MP sensor in the main camera.
Rumors point to a greater focus on generative AI with integration with tools such as Google Bard and ChatGTP integrated, in addition to the possibility of a monthly subscription to unlock all functions.
