After Electronic Arts released a teaser for the new Mass Effect as part of the N7 Day celebrations, more news about the game began to emerge. According to Romain Toutain, director of the technical department, the images were created with the game’s own engine.

At the beginning of the clip, BioWare comments that the animation does not consist of gameplay in the final state. Furthermore, it would represent a title “in development”, with scenes that will possibly be included in the final version.

Toutain reposted the publication about the Mass Effect teaser and stated that the short section with a female character is not a CGI recreation. The video actually features an excerpt filmed with the BioWare engine.

So yes, this is footage of the engine. I can’t wait for you to see what the team is building.
