As promised just over a month ago, rapper Drake kept his word and gifted UFC fighters Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann each a Rolex watch. The record of the delivery of the gift was shared by the lightweight (70 kg), on their social networks, and reproduced by the official Ultimate account on ‘Instagram’.
The promise came after the singer bet a millionaire value (about 2 million dollars) on the duo Pimblett and McCann, who would go into action on the UFC London card in July this year. After confirming their respective victories inside the Octagon, and aware of the bet made and won by Drake, the lightweight and flyweight (57 kg) recorded a video asking the rapper for a ‘Rolex’ watch for each, as way to reward them for the profit made. Also on social media, the Canadian artist responded positively and promised to give gifts to the athletes.
“Nice of you Drake! Thank you very much. He said he would give us a Rolex and he did,” said Pimblett, shortly after receiving the singer’s gift.
Even with just three fights, and three wins, in the UFC octagon, Paddy Pimblett is already emerging as one of the main promises of a future star in the company. Talented inside the cage and charismatic outside of it, the Englishman is often compared to former champion Conor McGregor and seems willing to follow a similar path to the Irish in the sport.
In turn, Molly McCann changed the level within the entity this season, after shining in the two events promoted by Ultimate in London, winning two spectacular triumphs by knockout and becoming a fan favorite in the league, in which she competes since 2018.
