Starting from pole, without being threatened at the start, to the delight of the local fans, Max Vertappen, from Red Bull, triumphed once again in the season, this time at the Dutch GP, 15th in the World Championship, in the race held this Sunday (4).

It was his 30th triumph in the top category of motorsport, tenth in the current championship, fourth in a row, a result that put him with 310 points in the table, thanks to 25 points for the victory and a bonus for the fastest turn.

The podium was completed by George Russell, with Mercedes, and Charles Leclerc, with Ferrari.

With 12 laps to go, Hamilton led the race, with one stop short of Vertsappen, when the safety car was triggered because of Bottas’ stop on the main straight, with a problem with his Alfa Romeo.

Hamilton was first on medium tyres, and Verstappen was second on soft tyres, but at the restart the Red Bull driver was impetuous to resume the lead and not allow any more attempts from the Mercedes cars.

Hamilton was still overtaken by Russell with eight laps to go, as the Briton was wearing soft tyres, the best for this final moment of the race. And then Leclerc also passed Hamilton, moving up to third.

Thus, Hamilton crossed in fourth, Pérez was fifth and Alonso closed the list of the top six.
