Now it’s official. This Friday (2), Vasco and 777 Partners finalized the transaction on Vasco SAF. The North American group purchased 70% of the company’s shares for R$ 120 million, which is the first contribution of the R$ 700 million provided for in the contract. It is worth noting that the bridge loan of R$70 million made in February has already been deducted from the total amount.

From now on, Vasco’s football will be effectively managed by the executives of 777 Partners, as long as it fulfills all the obligations established in the contract signed on June 25th and approved by the partners, at the Extraordinary General Meeting, on August 7th.

In the agreement, in addition to investing R$700 million, Vasco SAF commits to pay up to R$700 million in club debts. Negotiations began in December, with the presentation of the parties through the financial director Anderson Santos, who exclusively covered the backstage of the meeting in an exclusive interview with DIA.

In February, Vasco and 777 Partners signed a memorandum of understanding effectively marking the beginning of the relationship between the parties.

President Jorge Salgado, general vice presidents Carlos Roberto Osório and Roberto Duque Estrada, legal vice president José Cândido Bulhões and finance vice president Adriano Mendes were present at the meeting that finalized the negotiation. From 777 Partners were Don Dransfield, CEO of 777 Football Group, Nicolás Maya, operations manager, and Luiz Mello, CEO of Vasco SAF.

KPMG and BMA Advogados represented Vasco in the transaction, while Campos Mello Advogados formalized the agreement through 777 Partners.
