Last week, a video went viral in which students from the soccer school ‘Guerreirinhos’, which had a partnership with Fluminense, sing a song by Flamengo. After Tricolor terminated the franchise, Rubro-Negro became the new sponsor of the project, located in Belford Roxo, commanded by Silvio Santos.

“We were surprised by the video, but it was a thoughtless thing, without any malice on the part of the children. But it happened. We thank Fluminense for everything and we are saddened by the situation. It was a partnership of one year and three months and we were going very well until that day”, he commented, in an interview with ‘Lance’.

Silvio, who started the school about a year and three months ago, works with another partner and serves around 150 children. After the repercussion of the video, Fluminense terminated the project and issued an official statement on the website. The official spoke about the uncertainty after the departure of Tricolor and commented on the arrival of Flamengo.

“We didn’t expect Fluminense to leave the partnership, but they made it official. We didn’t know what to do, how to respond to the children and parents. recalled Silvio, before closing.

“When we were still with our heads full, trying to understand things, a person responsible for the Flamengo school called me and we set up a meeting. finished.

Before ‘Guerreirinhos’, now the franchisee is called ‘Escola Flamengo’. According to official information on the Rubro-Negro school website, there are already more than 220 units spread across all states of Brazil, with more than 20,000 children. Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior is a former student of the Rio club’s initiative.
