The striker Gustavo Mosquito climbed a step in the list of top scorers of Corinthians at Neo Química Arena last Monday, when he scored the only goal in the Alvinegra victory over Red Bull Bragantino. The athlete is now the fifth player who has scored the most times on the spot, tying with midfielder Rodriguinho – with fewer games.

Mosquito, by the way, is just one away from equaling striker Paolo Guerrero, who has 15 goals. After the Peruvian, the next targets are already at a greater distance, with at least 24 goals to enter the podium – see further below.

Of the 16 goals scored by the player at Timão since 2020, in fact, 14 were scored within the Neo Química Arena. This number is equivalent to 87.5% of the goals scored by the athlete with the white mantle.

The only two goals scored outside the Timão stadium, which represent 12.5% of the player’s goals at the club, were in the 2021 season. The first of them was in the victory against Mirassol, still for Paulistão last year. The second against Red Bull Bragantino himself, in a 2-2 draw, at the 2021 Brasileirão.

The Bragança Paulista team, by the way, is the team against which Gustavo most often went to the nets with the Corinthians shirt. In all, the striker faced the opponent on eight occasions and scored one goal in three games.

In time: with the goal scored by Gustavo Silva, Corinthians remains within the G4 of the Brasileirão 2022. Timão has the same 42 points as Internacional and Fluminense. The team’s next commitment is, precisely, against the gauchos. The duel takes place this Sunday, at 4 pm, at Neo Química Arena.
