Coach Fábio Carille has found an ideal team for Santos at the start of Series B of the Brazilian Championship. In the victories over Avaí and Guarani, the coach managed to repeat the lineup, and should do it again against Amazonas. Santos has gone to the field with João Paulo; JP Chermont, Gil, Joaquim and Escobar; João Schmidt, Diego Pituca and Giuliano; Otero, Guilherme and Morelos. According to Carille, the idea is to maintain the team’s base.
– The idea is very clear about how to play. They understand more and more. We go over the details of the game in the offensive and defensive part. The fight for position is between them. Three victories with this base. We have a base, but each one is looking for their space on the field.
However, despite wanting to maintain the base, the Peixe coach should rotate the squad in the next games. With matches in a shorter range of games and trips, the tendency is for pieces to be spared.

From Monday (Guarani) to Saturday (Amazonas, in Manaus) everyone arrives well, then we plan. From Saturday to Wednesday (Ponte Preta, in Campinas) I think so too. Maybe Wednesday to Sunday (Brusque, in Vila Belmiro) we will start to think better.
On the other hand, the sequence of matches should serve to test athletes with low minutes or who have not yet debuted for Santos this season, as in the cases of midfielder Sandry and midfielder Serginho.
