Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) – This Saturday, the 100% Brazilian duo from São Paulo, Beatriz Haddad Maia and Luisa Stefani, met the key to the WTA 500 in Abu Dhabi. They will be seeded number 2 and will debut against Kazakh Anna Danilina and Ukrainian Nadiia Kichenok.
Whoever advances will face the winners of the confrontation, which on one side has the strong North American duo formed by Caroline Dolehide and Desirae Krawczyk and on the other the partnership of Spain’s Cristina Bucsa and Riman’s Monica Niculescu.
They are also at the bottom of the bracket, being able to meet Bia and Luisa in the semifinals, pairs of the caliber of Marie Bouzkova/Sara Sorribes, fourth pre-classified, Timea Babos/Vera Zvonareva, Miyu Kato/Aldila Sutjiadi Bethanie Mattek-Sands/Sofia Kenin.
On the other side of the bracket are the main favorites for the title, North American Nicole Melichar and Australian Ellen Perez, who will debut against Czech Linda Noskova and British Heather Watson. The main obstacles for them are the 3 seeds, Taiwanese Hao-Chin Chang and Mexican Giuliana Olmos.
