After using the starters in the 4-1 victory over Bangu, last Thursday, Fluminense’s starters will be preserved. But this does not mean that the duel against Boavista, this Sunday, at 4pm (Brasília time), at the Elcyr Resende Stadium, for the 6th round of the Guanabara Cup, will have nothing new. Coach Fernando Diniz’s team, which traveled to Saquarema, will be made up of a debutant, luxury reserves and highlights from the base.

Goalkeeper Felipe Alves, hired to compete for position with Vitor Eudes as Fábio’s immediate reserve, will enter the field. Common names in professionals, such as David Braz, Daniel and Yony González, are also scheduled. Another reinforcement for 2024, David Terans should start playing.
Probable lineup: Felipe Alves; Lucas Justen, Antônio Carlos, David Braz and Diogo Barbosa; Felipe Andrade, Daniel, Terans; Yony González, Isaac and Lelê.
Douglas Costa, despite being regularized, is still a doubt. The lineup information was initially released by the ‘Central Fluminense’ channel.
With just one week of training, Fluminense decided not to take the starters to Bacaxá to continue their physical planning. The technical committee was not happy with the possibility of having the main team playing after three days with so little preparation time.
With this, the main team must return against Sampaio Corrêa, next Thursday, at 9:30 pm, at Maracanã.
Fluminense is the leader of the Campeonato Carioca with 13 points won. Boavista is in 5th place, with nine.
