On Friday night, the São Paulo Football Federation (FPF) released an ordinance to inform that the São Paulo stadium Palm trees, Allianz Parque, was banned from hosting matches. The decision is made due to the conditions of the synthetic lawn.
According to the published document, the decision was taken “due to the lack of condition of the lawn”. The synthetic material underwent analysis by the federation’s technical manager, who found the “non-compliance” of the thermoplastic compound.
The ordinance also specified that Allianz Parque may be used again when the problem is resolved. To do this, however, you will need to undergo a new technical inspection. Executive director of the FPF competitions department, Fábio Moraes was the one who signed the document.
Understand the case
The mess related to the Palmeiras home lawn happened after the derby against Santos last Sunday. After several complaints from Abel Ferreira and the players, Alviverde released an official statement stating that they would no longer play at the stadium until the problem was resolved.
After Verdão’s complaint, Real Arenas, the WTorre company responsible for stadium management, asked Soccer Grass to change the thermoplastic compound.
The problem of melting such a compound was identified by the company shortly before the ball rolled in the classic. However, Soccer Grass had guaranteed that the pitch was fit for play. Both the Real Arenas such as Soccer Grass released notes on the situation.
Due to the problem at their stadium, the Palmeiras chose to terminate with Soccer Grass. The information was initially released by ge and confirmed by Sports Gazette in this Monday.
The club understood that companies took time to act effectively in the situation. Soccer Grass, in turn, stated that it had not yet been notified of Verdão’s decision to terminate the contract.
