The 19-year-old girl who died after a meeting with Dimas, a Corinthians under-20 player, suffered a rupture in the rectouterine excavation (genital region located between the uterus and the rectum). According to experts interviewed by the UOLthe case is rare, especially among young women.
What did they say
It’s very rare to happen to a young girl. What sometimes exists are cases of perforation by objects. That may have. People who already have vaginal atrophy, who are going to have a relationship after a long time, then it could even happen [também], but it is very difficult. I don’t know what the incidence of this is. We rarely see it. Rogério Bonassi, scientific director of SOGESP (Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the State of São Paulo).
Rogério Bonassi also pointed out that the young woman’s injury would have started in the vagina, as there is no direct contact, during intercourse, between the penis and rectouterine excavation: “Where he [pênis] will touch the cervix. Really, what will rupture there is the vagina in the bottom of the bag. [vaginal]”.
