The ball has not yet rolled for the classic between Atlético and Cruzeiro, at Arena MRV, but the clubs have already started to provoke. In a post on Raposa’s official X (former Twitter), the celestial club extends an invitation to the classic with information about the match, such as location, time, opponent. But what draws attention is the photography used in the post.
The club’s profile chose exactly the character of the last clash held at the black and white stadium. Defender Jemerson, who scored the goal that sealed Cruzeiro’s victory in the second round of the Brazilian Championship, appears prominently in the image.
Raposa fans, of course, did not forgive the ‘coincidence’. “I see 3 Cruzeiro players in the photo lol,” said a Cruzeirense. Another joked: “That number 34 shirt plays a lot.” “In the photo I see a midfielder and a defender who have already scored goals for the club,” wrote another fan.
In the 42nd minute of the second half, after a cross from William, the black and white defender tries to prevent Bruno Rodrigues from finishing and scores against. The goal declared the celestial victory in the first clash between the teams at the Atleticano stadium.
Atlético and Cruzeiro face each other this Saturday (3), at 7:30 pm, again at Arena MRV. The match is valid for the third round of the Campeonato Mineiro.
