Face a fighter from UFC, even in training, it can become a complicated task and even bring some dangers. This was the case experienced by the newly hired Ultimate Jean Matsumotowho in an interview with the program “Se liga”, shown on the “UFC Brasil” channel on YouTube, revealed an accident during a sparring session in which he ended up causing temporary deafness in his father, after landing a blow that ended up bursting his eardrum by Mr. Claudinei Matsumoto.

“I was training with my father, doing a ‘loose’ and he ended up hitting me with a heavier hand, and I, with that competitive spirit, went to return it and hit an overhand that caught his ear and broke his eardrum, and he was left deaf. At the time, he said he had gone deaf. But he was already deaf on one side, but it was the other that had caused the problem. We went home, my mother cursed us both and then we went to the hospital, but thank God he recovered his eardrum and can hear on one side again”, said Jean.

Jean Matsumoto is 24 years old and undefeated in MMA, with 14 victories. The fighter from São Paulo arrived in the UFC through the 2023 season of the reality show “Dana White’s Contender Series”, after beating Kasey Tanner by unanimous decision from the judges, in a bantamweight duel. Before arriving in Ultimate, Matsumoto was a double champion of the SFT event.
