There is a duel from São Paulo this Friday (2) in the Women’s Volleyball Super League. Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde and Barueri face each other at Ginásio José Liberatti in the 14th round of the main national volleyball competition. While Osasco seeks to get closer to leadership, Barueri wants to maintain its good position within the G8. The ball goes up at 9pm, with live broadcast on SporTV 2.

How the teams arrive

With the new year, Osasco became the key in the Women’s Superliga. The team gained game volume and has been having good results, winning all the games they played in the national league in 2024. The only stumble came in the Copa Brasil, where the team lost at home to Fluminense and was eliminated from the knockout tournament. In the last round, Osasco had a good performance to recover from the fall in the Copa Brasil, beating Maringá 3-1. The team is in second place in the general classification of the Superliga and wants to win to get closer to the leader Sesc Flamengo.

Barueri also started the year with good results, making four consecutive victories in the Women’s Super League. But the team’s streak was broken last week, when Barueri lost twice to Sesc Flamengo, in the Copa Brasil and the Superliga. The team led by coach Wagão wants to regain victory, which would place the team in sixth place in the competition’s overall standings.
