Palmeiras and CIMED close the partnership


Palmeiras and CIMED were talking and re-discussing sponsorship for the 2024 season, something provided for in the contract. In recent days, via social media, CIMED removed the Palmeiras shield from the publication about being an official sponsor, keeping only CBF, Cruzeiro and a volleyball team. Furthermore, the company stopped following Verdão’s official profiles on its official network dedicated to the sport.

On the side of Brazil’s Greatest Champion, the brand is not currently listed as a sponsor and/or partner of the club.

During the press conference announcing the partnership, in September 2022, the president of Alviverde, Leila Pereira, spoke about the importance of new brands investing in the club.

The sponsorship included the brand being printed on the sleeves of the uniform of the women’s football team and on the chest of the base futsal teams, among other Palmeiras marketing properties – the captain’s and captain’s armbands for all the club’s football modalities, for For example, they became yellow, in reference to CIMED’s visual identity.

In addition to these actions, the partnership included the supply of medicines and supplements to athletes and working together with professionals from the Health and Performance Center (NSP) in the development of special products.

Recently, Palmeiras signed the biggest sponsorship deal in women’s football. Esportes da Sorte, a sports betting company, will sponsor Brazil’s Greatest Champion this season and has already shown interest in also sponsoring the men’s team.

When contacted by the report, Palmeiras and CIMED did not comment at the time of publication.
