For having advanced one round in Piracicaba, Alves receives six ATP points. The 23-year-old São Paulo native currently occupies 402nd place in the ranking and has a career-best mark of 395th, achieved in April 2022. He is expected to surpass his personal best in the next ranking update.

The start of the match had long games and opportunities for both sides, but the Argentine took advantage of two break chances and escaped five break points to take a 4/0 lead. Alves returned one of the breaks, but lost his serve again shortly afterwards. In the second set, Carabelli managed two new breaks and only faced one more break-point until the end of the game.
