Six of the eight Brazilians in the men’s category of Pipe Pro 2024 made it through the first day of the Hawaiian stage. Brothers Miguel and Samuel Pupo advanced with victories, while Yago Dora, Gabriel Medina and Italo Ferreira won their places after finishing second in their debuts. Deivid Silva went to the repechage, but did not need to compete after Filipe Toledo withdrew, who did not use his last attempt in the stage due to food poisoning. Caio Ibelli was the other Brazilian who left the race in 33rd place.
