Botafogo signed defender Pablo’s loan from Flamengo
After having conversations with Corinthians, defender Pablo has a new direction. This is because, the defender of Flamengo He agreed with Botafogo on a season-long loan. General Severiano’s team will not pay for the transfer and will not have an option to purchase the player.
According to information from journalist Venê Casagrande, Botafogo closed on Wednesday night (31) the signing of defender Pablo. Furthermore, the documents between General Severiano’s team and the Flamengo have already been exchanged and the deal is complete.
DISPUTED ON THE MARKET
Pablo was being monitored by Corinthians, but the São Paulo team was unable to move forward with the agreement. On the other hand, Santos also wanted the athlete and there was even a call from coach Fábio Carille, with whom the defender previously worked. However, the talks did not progress. Therefore, Botafogo, according to the defender himself, presented the best project.
The defender, however, did not travel with the main squad to Belém, Pará, where the Flamengo faces Sampaio Corrêa-RJ on Wednesday night (31), for the Campeonato Carioca. Therefore, Pablo remains in Rio de Janeiro, a fact that will facilitate medical examinations.
BOTAFOGO AND FLAMENGO
John Textor, owner of Botafogo, has been having meetings with president Rodolfo Landim to discuss transfers. This is because, last Saturday (27), the North American president met with the red-black leader in the United States to negotiate an agreement for Matheuzinho. The proposal of 4 million euros (R$ 21.4 million at the current price) was accepted, but the athlete refused to go to Rio de Janeiro.
ANOTHER LEAVE FROM FLAMENGO
Pablo is the second defender to end his spell at Flamengo. This is because, in December, Rodrigo Caio’s contract was concluded and the experienced defender did not renew his contract. Furthermore, goalkeeper Santos, who signed with Fortaleza, and Everton Ribeiro, announced by Bahia, were also other names that followed different paths.
