A Brazilian under-17 women’s football team is ready to begin its journey of preparatory friendlies for the category’s South American Championship. The first of them will be against Germany, this Thursday (1st), at 1pm (Brasília time), at the Albufeira Municipal Stadium, in Algarve, Portugal.

After ten days of training at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis, and one in Algarve, Portugal, the team led by coach Simone Jatobá returned to the field this Wednesday (31) for the first training on Portuguese soil, already planning the duel against the Germany.

“Today we did a slightly simpler workout, but with fundamentals that we were already working on before. It was a training session where we reinforced some points that will be important in the match against Germany. We want to perform well and make a good debut”, said midfielder Kaylane.

“We adjusted the last details for tomorrow’s game, which is very important. We worked hard during our time at Granja to get here and give our best, making everything we trained during this period count”, emphasized midfielder Larissa.

In addition to the challenge against the Germans, the under-17 team will have two more opportunities to test the team. They will face the Netherlands, on Saturday (3), at 10am, and Portugal, on Tuesday (6), at 1pm. These games will serve as preparation for the category’s South American Championship, which will take place between the 13th and 31st of March.
