Aiming for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, starting in July next year, Motbot launched new features on its platform in order to assist Olympic and Paralympic athletes. The company, which is a partner with more than 20 Brazilian football clubs and contributes to philanthropic institutions, will now also help athletes raise funds to prepare for next year’s competitions.

Athletes will be able to create their own project on the platform and the first step is to register on the website (https://bit.ly/vaquinha-motbot). Then, the athlete will be directed to a screen where they can start the “virtual crowdfunding” campaign. There will be an interface in which the project title, target amount to be raised, deadline and a short description that justifies the action can be defined. The maintenance cost will be 5%, the lowest rate on the market, according to the company.

“We are expanding the operations of our platform to also include Olympic and Paralympic athletes. We know that some find it difficult during this training period, away from the spotlight. In addition to the high costs of supplements, transport and sporting materials, for example, athletes do not always have the necessary support and, on many occasions, they have to bear all the expenses themselves. We hope that our platform can be a facilitator and, therefore, we also offer the lowest rate on the market”, explains Rogério Neves, CEO of Motbot.

Founded in July 2022, the company works to encourage partner teams to achieve positive results on the field and raise funds to improve club structures. For the players’ “animal” – prizes paid upon achieving a certain result – the amounts raised only come out of supporters’ accounts if the teams achieve sporting performance. Part of the amount of these actions is also allocated to philanthropic institutions indicated by the clubs. To date, R$31,000 has been donated by the platform to causes of this type.
