Midfielder Geovane used social media, this Monday, the 20th, to say goodbye to Paysandu. The player praised the bicolor fans and highlighted the goals achieved in Papão.
– At Paysandu, I had the pleasure of getting to know up close what the fans that everyone talks about so much are really like and I am grateful for Fiel’s love and support, I became one of you. Today I say goodbye to the club, with my head held high, I honored and gave my all on the field. I made friends and I was certainly very happy. The objective was to bring this club back to Series B and to the honor and glory of God we managed to do so, they will soon be in Series A. I will always be rooting for Papão’s success. I wish you luck and thank you very much for the opportunity – concluded Geovane.
The midfielder arrived at Paysandu in March this year, on loan from Ceará. Wearing the two-tone shirt, he played in the Campeonato Paraense, Copa do Brasil and Série C do Brasileiro, playing in 28 games.
The termination of the player’s contract has not yet been announced by Paysandu. But, in total, the bicolor club has already released 19 athletes who played in the 2023 Third Season – Rodolfo Filemon, Wesley Santos, Lucas Paranhos, Mirandinha, Kevyn, Alencar, Nenê Bonilha, Nicolas Careca, Anilson, Thiago Coelho, Igor Fernandes, Arthur, Leandrinho, Wellington Carvalho, Dalberto, Bruno Alves, Eltinho, Ronaldo Mendes and Gustavo Custódio.
Until then, Papão already has five players with contracts for next season – goalkeeper Matheus Nogueira, defender Paulão, midfielder João Vieira, midfielder Robinho and striker Vinicius Leite -, as well as some youth players.
