After two consecutive victories at home, the Botafogo was defeated by Mogi per 86 to 81 on the night of this Monday (20/11), at the Ginásio Professor Hugo Ramos, in Mogi das Cruzes, at NBB 2023/24. It was the eighth defeat in ten games in the competition.

Glorioso went into the break leading by four points, but ended up suffering a comeback in the third period. The black and white team reduced the deficit to just two points with a minute to go, but were unable to stay ahead again.

Isaac Thornton was Botafogo’s top scorer, with 20 points, while Emmanuel recorded a double-double, with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Jamaal Smith scored ten points. On the Mogi side, Shamell (17), Lucas (14) and Ware (14) were the main scorers.

Botafogo continues in the interior of São Paulo and returns to the court on Thursday to face Coop/São Joséin São José dos Campos, at 7:30 pm, broadcast on Star+.
