On Monday afternoon, an Internacional player ended up gaining prominence on social media. While preparing for the match against Red Bull Bragantino, midfielder Carlos de Pena made a post that went viral among Colorado fans.
That’s because, next to a photo of himself from last year, he captioned it “I don’t want to see you again, I want to see you come back”. This fact quickly began to circulate among fans, who sought to understand the message behind the post.
Odair Hellmann makes changes: check out Santos’ likely team to face Inter
The main point raised by the Colorados was in relation to the player’s phase. A reserve and with decisive errors this season, Carlos de Pena was unable to repeat his great performances from last year, when he scored five goals and made seven assists, being the team’s highlight in the Brasileirão.
Despite having identical numbers so far this season, the Uruguayan dropped in performance and was marked by missed penalties. So much so that, in Internacional’s last five matches, he played less than 45 minutes. He therefore hopes to turn things around and regain good football.
