Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) – North American Alex Michelsen, Serbian Hamad Medjedovic and Italian Luca Nardi qualified for the Next Gen Finals and completed the list of tennis players who will compete in the tournament in 2023. They will join Frenchmen Arthur Fils and Luca Van Assche, to the Swiss Dominic Stricker, the Italian Flavio Cobolli and the Jordanian guest Abdullah Shelbayh.

American Michelsen had a standout year, winning two challenger titles and advancing to his first ATP-level final in Newport. The 19-year-old entered the top 100 in early November

Novak Djokovic’s compatriot, Serbian Medjedovic has steadily raised his level in 2023 under the guidance of coach Viktor Troicki. The 20-year-old won three challenger trophies in 2023 and reached the ATP semi-finals in Gstaad and Astana. He will make his debut at the under-21 event in Jeddah.

Currently 118th in the world, just two places below the best mark, Nardi took the last place in the tournament. The Italian, who was an alternate at the event last year, finished the season strongly to secure his place, winning a challenger event in Matsuyama, Japan, before progressing to the semi-finals in Kobe.
