Neymar is being accused of hiring a former employee “on the outside” without proper records. She is now demanding 368 thousand euros (R$ 1.94 million) in compensation from the player, according to the newspaper Le Parisien.

According to an article published this Wednesday (15), the employee worked without documentation for almost two years, seven days a week, and without the right to days off or vacation.

Payment of 15 euros per hour was made in cash. In total, the former employee worked almost 70 hours a week. Without any employment contract, she recorded her hours in a notebook.

The reported situation would have happened between January 2021 and October 2022. During this period, Neymar played for Paris Saint-Germain. The player left the French team in August after signing a two-year contract with Al-Hilal, from Saudi Arabia.

The former employee, whose name was not disclosed, is Brazilian, 35 years old and mother of four children.

According to the newspaper, her first contact with the player’s team was in February 2019, when she was hired as a kitchen assistant for a party in Bougival. In May 2020, she was contacted again to perform various tasks, becoming, in January 2021, the athlete’s full-time employee.

The newspaper also mentions that the former employee worked until two weeks before giving birth to her fourth child, who was born prematurely. Since the birth of the child, she has had no contact with Neymar or his team. To be able to cover her costs, she turned to the help of NGOs such as Secours populaire and Restaurants du Cœur, institutions that help needy people.

According to the newspaper, the woman’s lawyers tried to reach an amicable agreement with the player, but received no response. The case was then assigned to the Saint-Germain-en-Laye industrial court.

Wanted by g1Neymar’s advisor informed that “officially we are unaware of the matter because Neymar was not even mentioned”.
