Striker Lucca Orellano is expected to miss Vasco for the remainder of the Brazilian Championship. With a fracture in his hand, the Argentine opted to put a cast on his arm and should not be available until the end of the season.
In the 54th minute of the 2nd half – goal from inside the area by Vasco’s Orellano against Cuiabá
That was Orellano’s decision, after consulting a doctor in Argentina. Vasco informed that there were three treatment possibilities, but that was the player’s decision.
If he opted for another treatment, Orellano would probably return to the field more quickly. The club did not provide an estimate for the player’s return to training.
Orellano fractured his hand in the game against Cuaibá, on November 2nd. Interestingly, on that occasion, the player scored his first goal with a Vasco shirt, in a 2-0 victory. It was a beautiful move, after coming from midfield.
Vasco’s biggest investment of the season (the club paid around R$20 million to Vélez Sarsfield), Orellano, 23 years old, arrived at Vasco in January, but has not yet managed to establish himself. In 24 games (few as a starter), he scored one goal and made one assist.
