With the end of the 2023 season approaching, MMA fans want to know what the long-awaited season will be like UFC 300. In other historic editions, such as the 100th and 200th, Dana White, president of the company, prepared a special show. No less is expected for the card that will take place in 2024.
Daniel Cormier, former fighter and current Ultimate commentator, was emphatic when designing the 300th edition during the “DC&RC” podcast. The former champion believes that the event will mark the return of Conor McGregor.
“UFC 100 had Brock, right? With Georges St-Pierre and all those guys. UFC 200 had Brock, it was for me and Jones too, but I ended up facing Anderson Silva. UFC 300 has to have a name like that. We no longer have Brock Lesnar. So I think you have to have a Conor McGregor versus Michael Chandler. I think Michael Chandler has his chance now, in the main event. Boy, Michael Chandler is going to lead UFC 300, how crazy is this?”, analyzed “DC”, which continued:
“I know Jones and Stipe won’t be ready. I believe that whoever wins the (interim heavyweight) belt this weekend will have to fight again (Tom Aspinall or Sergei Pavlovich). Leon Edwards or Colby Covington will be available again, right? Because they fight in December. I believe it will be one of them, if not both. The interim heavyweight champion and then welterweight champion will also fight in edition 300”, he concluded.
Despite speculation, there is still nothing defined about the organization’s historic event.

As a sports fan, journalism has always been something that moved me and awakened my passion. In 2016, I made this dream come true when I graduated from FACHA. The profession allowed me to get to know people and places, as well as chat with great idols. At TATAME, I joined as an intern, worked as a reporter and, currently, I am the content coordinator for the website and also for TATAME Play.
