Palmeiras striker did not participate in the game and had a lackluster performance

O Flamengo beat Palmeiras 3-0, on Wednesday night (08), in a game valid for the 33rd round of the Brazilian Championship. A highlight of the São Paulo team, Endrick played a dull game and generated memes among red and black fans.

Directly responsible for Palmeiras’ victory against Botafogo, another great match was expected from striker Endrick. However, the 17-year-old player was overlooked and found himself in the pocket of defenders Léo Pereira and Fabrício Bruno.

Endrick played for the 90 minutes against Flamengo. However, the Palmeiras striker had a discreet participation, without any finishing, just an aerial duel won against the red-black club’s defense. As a result, Mengo fans took to social media to mock the young promise of the São Paulo team.

Palmeiras agreed to sell Endrick to Real Madrid (ESP) at the end of last year for 72 million euros (around R$409 million at current prices). Thus, the 17-year-old is the most expensive player in the history of Brazilian football.

O Flamengo was not aware of Palmeiras this Wednesday (08), which had arrived for the match with five consecutive victories and tied with Botafogo in the lead. However, Mengo scored two goals in the first half and closed the scoring with Pedro in the final stage. Furthermore, the Palmeirenses present at Maracanã started to leave after 32 minutes and were unable to see the flamenguistas’ ‘olé’.

O Flamengo returns to the field next Saturday (11), at Maracanã, in the classic against Fluminense, in a game valid for the 34th round of the Brazilian Championship. O Fla’s column brings the most red-black broadcast on the internet in the voice of the ‘angry’ Rafa Penido’ on YouTube.
