Corinthians Women can reach their fifth final match in the Campeonato Paulista

Next Sunday, Corinthians has the chance to reach their fifth final in the Campeonato Paulista Feminino. To reach this milestone, the team will need to maintain its advantage over Palmeiras and achieve, at least, a draw in the second leg at Neo Química Arena.

Brabas reached the final of the tournament in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, finishing runner-up in the first of them, against Santos. The titles were won in games against São Paulo, on two occasions, and Ferroviária. In 2016 and 2017, the team was eliminated in the semifinals, while in 2022 it did not even reach the knockout stages.

If they maintain the advantage gained in the first game, with a 1-0 victory, Corinthians will qualify for the big decision in Paulista and will face the winner of the duel between São Paulo and Santos. In the first clash between the teams, the Santos team came out on top, winning 1-0 away from home.

It is worth noting that Paulista is the last competition for Corinthians Feminino in 2023. Brabas have already won the Supercopa, Brasileiro and Libertadores titles, and are now seeking the state championship, aiming to achieve the unprecedented feat of four titles in a single season, consolidating a successful year in the women’s sports scene.
