The first half saw good movement from both teams and in the 21st minute, a cross from Robson towards Slimani fell to midfielder Bruno Gomes, who filled the net and opened the scoring for Alviverde. At 34, in a good counterattack, Slimani made the pass and Marcelino Moreno expanded.
In the second half, América-MG was more offensive, but Coxa continued to have the upper hand. The team’s top scorer of the season, Robson, scored the third in the 23rd minute.
