This week, the 24-year-old player was called up by coach Fernando Diniz for the Brazilian team’s next two commitments, in the qualifiers. On November 16th and 21st, the Canarinho team will face Colombia and Argentina, respectively.
Critic of number 10 in the past, Mário Henrique “Caixa”, narrator of the Itatiaiawas thrilled with the phase the carioca was going through and said he was “doubly happy”.
“I’m doubly happy with Paulinho’s call-up to the Brazilian team. I say this from the bottom of my heart. Firstly, because he deserves it so much. The phase he’s going through is spectacular. His rapport with Hulk, the amount of goals he’s scoring”, highlighted Caixa .
“The second reason is that Paulinho’s evolution happened exactly after our criticisms; mine and a good part of the fans. The player himself admitted that the phase was not good and that he needed to evolve. He grew in the moment of greatest difficulty”, he added.
