So young and already remarkable in the history of Real Madrid. With the goals scored this Wednesday in the victory over Braga, strikers Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior isolated themselves as the Brazilian players with the most goals for the Spanish club in the Champions League. Both have 17 in total.

— Wow, it doesn’t even sink in for us. We can’t even imagine that. There are many Brazilian players. We are happy to reach these milestones, something that we certainly did not imagine reaching so quickly. But it is the fruit of our work — commented Rodrygo, in an interview with TNT Sports.

Rodrygo is now 22 years old and arrived at Real Madrid in the 2019/20 season. Vinicius Junior is a year older and was integrated into the Spanish team’s main squad a season earlier.

Because of this performance, Rodrygo was chosen by UEFA as the best player on the field.

— Always good to score, provide assistance. It was a perfect game, with victory, classification. And a great goal, right? It was a beautiful goal. It couldn’t be better,” he said.
