Lenovo Tenerife is at the top of group C of the men’s basketball Champions League. This Wednesday (8), the Spanish team hosted VEF Riga, from Latvia, for the third round of the first phase. With a good performance from Brazilian Marcelinho Huertas, the home team won 76 to 55.

Marcelinho Huertas was the second Tenerife player with the most minutes on the court. The 40-year-old Brazilian point guard played for 27min27s and was only behind North American Tim Abromaitis with 28min23s. Furthermore, Huertas finished the match among the top scorers with 12 points. He also contributed by grabbing four rebounds and giving four assists.

The Spanish Jaime Fernandez, from Tenerife, finished the match as the scorer of the match, scoring 22 points, seven assists and an efficiency of 23. Next was the Serbian Dusan Ristic with 16 points. After Marcelinho, Giorgi Shermadini, from Georgia, finished with 11 points.
