Nova Mutum stands out in volleyball, basketball and futsal in the Vale do Verde 2023 games

The Nova Mutum delegation was highlighted at the Vale do Verde 2023 Games, held in Lucas do Rio Verde between the 2nd and 5th of November. The municipality had six teams participating in volleyball, basketball and futsal, in the male and female categories.

The Vale do Verde Games are a traditional competition in the region, which was held again after 20 years of interruption. The objective is to promote integration, exchange and sports development in participating municipalities.

The Nova Mutum teams showed a high technical level and won four medals, one gold, two silver and one bronze. The results were celebrated by athletes, coaches and managers, who thanked the City Hall and the Department of Sports, Leisure and Culture (SMELC) for their support.

For secretary Toshio Takagui, the event is a celebration of sport and unity, bringing joy and enthusiasm to everyone involved. “Vale do Verde not only promotes integration and exchange between participating municipalities, but also encourages sporting development, strengthening the local community and rekindling the sporting spirit”, he recalled.
