In the images, striker Paulinho left comments about the Rio team winning the Copa Libertadores. The comments made the Tricolores dream of a possible signing.
In a recent interview with ESPN, the black-and-white striker demonstrated that he was a fan of the Rio team and recalled watching the Libertadores final between Fluminense and LDU, in 2008. On that occasion, Fluminense lost on penalties.
“I don’t even know if I could be saying this, but the first Libertadores final of 2008 comes to mind, between Fluminense and LDU. I was at Maracanã and it was a very sad day. I remember that the campaign was very good, we were at almost every game at Maracanã. My father sometimes took us out of school early to go to Maracanã, because I studied in the afternoon. The game was sometimes at 7:30 pm, 7 pm and he would pick us up early at school to take the subway and go to Maracanã”, commented Paulinho.
PAULINHO X FLUMINENSE
In the match between Galo and Fluminense, on October 28th, Paulinho took no notice of his opponent and scored the two goals that gave the victory to the greatest from Minas. In both goals, Paulinho celebrated a lot with his teammates and with the fans at Arena MRV.
