Cruzeiro entered the relegation zone for the first time at a crucial moment in the Brazilian Championship. Therefore, the club sees the remaining seven games in the competition as “finals”.
The 33rd round of the Brazilian Championship starts this Wednesday (8), but Cruzeiro will not take the field. The celestial team’s match against Vasco, previously scheduled for November 8th, was postponed by the Brazilian Football Confederation. The new date for the clash is November 22nd.
Even without playing, the attention of the coaching staff, players and celestial fans will be focused on key matches of the round. Cruzeiro has 37 points and is in 17th place, first in the relegation zone.
There are four games that directly interest Cruzeiro: América x Coritiba, this Wednesday; and Corinthians x Atlético; Goiás x Santos and Bahia x Cuiabá, all on Thursday.
Each match has a specific importance for the celestial plans of the round, since seven of the eight clubs involved in the games mentioned are still in the fight against relegation. Only Atlético, which has 53 points, has already avoided any risk.
