Conmebol announced the selection for Libertadores 2023 on Wednesday afternoon. An offensive formation marks the team chosen by the entity, with just one defender. Fluminense has five representatives: Nino, André, Ganso, Arias and Cano.

Sergio Romero (Boca Juniors); Advíncula (Boca Juniors), Nino (Fluminense) and Piquerez (Palmeiras); André (Fluminense), Alan Patrick (Internacional), Ganso (Fluminense) and Arias (Fluminense); Enner Valencia (Internacional), Paulinho (Atlético-MG) and Germán Cano (Fluminense).
The players were chosen by the Conmebol Tactical Study Group.

Fluminense was the Conmebol Libertadores champion for the first time in history by defeating Boca Juniors in the final on the 4th, at Maracanã. The 2-1 victory saw goals scored by Germán Cano and John Kennedy.
