The famous DJ Alok, recognized both in Brazil and around the world for his performances on stage, used social media to highlight the critical situation in the Amazon, which has faced a significant increase in the number of fires this year 2023, as has been reported by the Political Connection.
In this context, the government led by Lula, with Minister Marina Silva heading the Environment, has faced pressure from the population for effective measures to combat the environmental emergency that threatens the largest tropical forest in the world.
The artistic class, in turn, which during the four years of Jair Bolsonaro’s (PL) government used to constantly pressure the federal government, launching a series of accusations and narratives against the former president, has now been remarkably silent regarding the apparent inaction by the Lula government in relation to several issues, mainly the Amazon region.
With the majority of the class choosing not to address the issue, DJ Alok conveyed the worrying situation. Last Saturday (4), in his posts, he shared images that showed the Amazon in flames and a dense smoke screen that covered the region, which has affected air quality and made it difficult for local residents to breathe, as also reported by Political Connection.
In his message, Alok appealed for help to the Amazon, describing the alarming situation that occurred that day, without, however, attributing specific responsibilities or making more detailed demands on the matter.
