O Brazil this Sunday (05) won the gold medal in the dispute for teams of Table tennis after beating Canada in the grand final of men’s tournament of the modality. The Brazilians were superior in most of the match, dismissing match 5, to once again guarantee the top of the podium for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
The men’s team made up of Eric Jouti, Vitor Ishiy and Hugo Calderano reached the final after overcoming Argentina, comeback, 3-2, in a great game. Brazil’s opponent was Canada, with a team made up of Simeón Martin, Edward Ly and Eugene Wang who also beat the United States 3-2.

In the tournament feminine, the team formed by Bruna Alexandre, Bruna Takahashi and Giulia Takahashi was unable to overcome the United States team in the semifinals and ended up with the bronze medal – there is no dispute for third place in the team competition (see how it went).
