The celebration of fans and players will have an electric trio carrying the athletes and the cup. The club informed that there will also be shows and lots of celebrations, as well as other information during the week.
Before the conquest of America, Fluminense had not carried out prior planning with public security bodies. According to the statement released by the club, this was the reason for not having the official party this Sunday, the day after the title.
In addition to the party confirmed for next Sunday, there will be a reunion between the fans and the players and the Conmebol Libertadores cup at Maracanã. But this will be a little later. With the right to shows, Fluminense will display the cup with the right to the Olympic return on November 22nd, before the match against São Paulo, in a game delayed by the 32nd round of the Brazilian Championship. It will be Flu’s first game as home team after winning the Conmebol Libertadores.
The club released the following statement on social media:
“Tricolor Champions of America,
At this special moment in our history, we need a great event, the size of our achievement, that allows for the well-deserved celebration among our athletes and the fans.
Understanding the need for prior planning, requested by public security agencies, we will meet with the cup and our heroes next Sunday. We will fill the center of Rio de Janeiro on November 12th, at 9 am, with an electric trio carrying our warriors, cup, shows and celebration.
On November 22nd, the cup will be at Maracanã, in the game against São Paulo, also with a lot of celebration from our stands, Olympic return and shows before the game.
During the week we will provide more information about the organization.

Earlier, the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, also released a message on social media, anticipating possible criticism of the city hall.
– Before you blame the city hall: I spoke to Mario – president of Fluminense – and told him that the city hall has nothing to oppose celebrating the title in Laranjeiras. It’s not every day you win a Libertadores! We have to respect the Enem schedule to allow students to take the tests that are spread across the city. Besides, it’s a tricolor party! With peace and joy!
