Limeira Shopping hosts 3×3 Basketball event

The ball goes up at Limeira Shopping with the Basketball 3×3 Experience, an initiative in partnership with the City of Limeira, through the Base Sports Center for High Performance Basketball 3×3.

Until Sunday, several activities were planned in front of the Havan store for the public to learn about this Olympic sport.

During the period, there will be a clinic to present the sport, a 3×3 basketball school and tournaments, as well as games worth prizes.

The 3×3 basketball tournaments take place this Saturday for the Under-16 and Under-18 categories and on Sunday for the free category (adult). To participate, athletes must bring one kilo of non-perishable food.

There will also be a dunk tournament, which will take place before the finals on Sunday. Prior registration is required at this link. https://gforms.app/r/GVADMLC. The champions will be awarded during the event.

“This event is an opportunity for the population to learn about this Olympic sport, which has gained investment in Limeira. Our city is the second in the country to have a base nucleus for 3×3”, says the Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Luiz Augusto Zanon.

“Limeira Shopping encourages the practice of physical activity and is ready to offer, in partnership with the City Hall, an opportunity for the public of Limeira and the region to learn about 3×3 Basketball, which is gaining more and more fans. There will be days of many healthy activities, which combine entertainment, competition and urban culture in an accessible and inclusive environment”, says Laura Souza Serradilha, superintendent of the project.

10am to 2pm: Free Court for the general public.
3pm: Start of the 3×3 Tournament – ​​Under-16 Mixed and Under-18 Men categories.
6pm: Hip Hop presentation with Oficina do Corpo Limeira.
6:30 pm: Games with prizes – Skills and Throwing Tournament.
7pm: 3×3 Basketball School (open to everyone).
8pm: Finals of the 3×3 Tournament – ​​Under-16 Mixed and Under-18 Male Categories.

Sunday – 5/11

3pm: Start of the 3×3 Tournament – ​​Men’s Free category (over 18 years old).
6pm: Hip Hop presentation with Oficina do Corpo Limeira.
6:30 pm: Slam Dunk Tournament (Before the finals).
7pm: Finals of the 3×3 Tournament – ​​Men’s Freestyle category and closing of the event.
