In response, the CBF filed lawsuits against Neto. There will be three actions, according to the confederation. After that, the influencer mocked the CBF processes in new posts on Twitter.
The partnership
In March 2023, Play 9, a company, signed a commercial agreement with CBF to broadcast the game on a digital channel. The broadcast took place on Galvão Bueno’s GB channel, which at the time had a partnership with the company. It was a time when the entity was without a contract with Globo.
The game was profitable, that is, Neto’s company made money from the contract with the confederation, with sponsors like Pixbet. The game had 9.6 million views on YouTube. Neto participated in the broadcast before the game and at halftime. At the time, he said that it would go down in history as a digital transmission.
On the occasion, the CBF announced the agreement as follows: “After 41 years of broadcasting football matches and other sports matches on TV Globo, narrator and commentator Galvão Bueno debuts in the digital environment, with the launch of Canal GB, developed in partnership with the digital content company Play9. And, to mark the narrator’s debut, the CBF entered into a partnership with Play9 so that the friendly match between Brazil and Morocco will be broadcast on the Bueno channel.”
In the text, it is highlighted that Play 9 was founded by João Pedro Paes Leme, former executive at Globo, Marcus Vinicius Freire, former director of COB, and Felipe Neto. In fact, one of Play 9’s partners is the company Felipe Neto Participações LTDA.
