After the successful surgery this Thursday (2), in Belo Horizonte, Neymar made a post on Instagram to reassure his fans. The striker was operated on by Atlético and Brazilian team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar at Mater Dei hospital. Neymar remains hospitalized.
“Everything worked. Thank you for the messages and now we focus on recovery”, wrote striker Neymar, in a post made on Instagram in the early evening of this Thursday (2). In the photo, the player appears lying on a stretcher, giving a thumbs up sign with his hand.

Neymar remains in hospital in Belo Horizonte, recovering from surgery. The expectation is that the player will be medically discharged this Friday (3). According to Rodrigo Lasmar, the next step is physiotherapy recovery. “We will gradually release new information as we have new developments,” he explained.
The Al-Hilal player suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and menisci of the left knee in the Brazilian team’s game against Uruguay in the last round of qualifiers, on October 17th. The following day, the CBF confirmed the injury and gave the details.
