Cida was overjoyed to see her son before training and promises to push the team towards the final of the tournament. He already knows what he’s going to say in the stands. “I’m going to shout ‘come on kid’ and he’s going to count on mommy’s screams”, she warned her.

She was invited by the Stella Barros Holiday Club and didn’t think twice and quickly agreed to the idea of surprising her son. Cida even let go of her fear of flying. The longest trip the matriarch took was one hour, from Nilópolis, where she lives, to Rio Grande do Sul. The flight to Santiago lasts around four hours.

“It’s a wonderful gift. My children always play far away and I’m never present at these events. I’m very happy with this gift. It’s the first time outside Brazil and it’s been incredible. The journey was long, but I didn’t even notice. I slept, I woke up and I started talking to my friend Val about our children and I didn’t feel the fear anymore”, Cida told UOL.

To avoid the risk of ruining the surprise, Cida turned off her cell phone and asked her husband to tell Darlan that she took advantage of the holiday to travel with her friends in a place where there is no cell phone signal.

“My children are wonderful. They are always present, even when we are physically distant. When the boys see that it gets cold in Rio, they immediately worry about our health, mine and my husband’s. So he must be wanting to know where I am,” she said.

Cida arrived in Chile on Wednesday, the day before the surprise, and has already enjoyed the city with her friend: she visited a winery, a circus and other tourist places on the route planned by the Vacation Club.
