Tite spoke about the calm you need to have with Flamengo fans
Tite took over Flamengo four games ago, but he has already ‘closely known’ the temperament of the red and black fans. This is because, after a year full of negative results, Flamengo fans’ patience is not the best. Thus, the coach of Clube da Gávea opened the game about the frustration of Mengo fans.
— We have to see the reality of the facts. Of course the fans are frustrated. I’m a fan, I was a fan. And I understand. We, as professionals, have to know how to absorb these situations. This is part of maturity. Playing based on the expectations of the big club, the big brand, the need for a result. But we have to have the serenity, calm and concentration to manage all of this — said Tite, at a press conference.
SECOND DEFEAT WITH TITE IN COMMAND
Last Wednesday night (01), Flamengo met Santos, in the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship. However, the São Paulo team came out on top, winning the duel 2-1. Thus, the match marked Tite’s second defeat in charge of Rubro-Negro.
At Flamengo for four games, Tite won the first two matches, against Cruzeiro and Vasco, respectively. However, it has also suffered two defeats, as the red-and-black team was surpassed by Grêmio and Santos.
GAME AGAINST SANTOS
In the match against Santos, Tite saw the Flamengo fans lose patience during the game. In addition to some of the fans throwing objects onto the field, which ended up hitting Rubro-Negro players, screams of protest were heard in the stands. On that occasion, Flamengo fans even sang: “shame, shame, shame, shameless team” and also booed the team at the end of the duel.
To ‘make peace’ with the Flamengo fans, Tite prepares the red and black squad for the next commitments of the season. This is because Mengão enters the field at 4pm (Brasília time) on Sunday (05), when they face Fortaleza. At Arena Castelão, the teams face off in the 32nd round of the Brazilian Championship, broadcast live by Coluna do Fla on YouTube.
