Rodrigo Caio sent a message through social media
Flamengo did not have the night on Wednesday (01) as they wanted. That’s because Rubro-Negro ended up suffering another upset. This time, Santos won the match valid for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship by 2-1. Rodrigo Caio, who hadn’t been on the field for around five months, sent a message after returning to the field.
Through a post on social media, the defender wrote: “Never give up on your dreams. All honor and glory be given to you, Jesus.” The message was accompanied by photos of Rodrigo Caio in the match against Santos, at Mané Garrincha.
RETURN AFTER MORE THAN FIVE MONTHS
Rodrigo Caio has not been called into a match since April 23, when he started in the 2-1 defeat to Internacional, in the second round of the Brazilian Championship. Therefore, after that game, the defender was left out of 38 matches, as an unused substitute.
In the game between Flamengo and Santos, Tite called Rodrigo Caio 12 minutes into the second half. In this way, the defender participated in the tenth game of the 2023 season. In this period, the number 3 started in seven clashes and came on as a substitute in three.
With the hope of gaining ground again for the remainder of the season, Rodrigo Caio remains at Tite’s disposal for the next commitments. Therefore, Flamengo returns to the field on Sunday (05), when they face Fortaleza. At Castelão, the teams compete in the 32nd round of the Brazilian Championship.
As tradition dictates, Coluna do Fla broadcasts the clash live on YouTube. This way, the most red-black and hot broadcast on the internet will be narrated by the ‘angry’ Rafa Penido, accompanied by comments from Tulio Rodrigues. Furthermore, the reports are by Leo José.
