After four years of waiting, the UFC, finally, disembarks again in one of the destinations with the greatest possible commercial potential: China, one of the most populous nations on the planet. Through its social networks, the company chaired by Dana White made its return to the Asian country official on December 9th, in the city of Shanghai.

The planned edition will not be numbered, but rather a ‘Fight Night’. Therefore, it is unlikely that the event will host any title fights. Furthermore, the UFC has not yet announced which fight should headline the show, which takes place in just over a month. In its last trip to China, in August 2019, Ultimate promoted Weili Zhang vs Jessica ‘Bate-Estaca’ as the ‘main event’, with the strawweight title (52 kg) at stake. At the time, the home athlete beat the Brazilian and became champion.

“China, we are officially on our way! See you at UFC Shanghai, on December 9th!”, highlighted the official Ultimate account on Instagram.

Despite not yet having its main duels defined, UFC China tends to be an interesting event for Brazilian fans. After all, three Tupiniquin athletes are already confirmed to take action on December 9th. Defending the yellow-green, André Sergipano, Allan Puro Osso and Brendson Ribeiro face, respectively, Jun Yong Park, Su Mudaerji and Mingyang Zhang.
